We all know we’ve been watching a little too much Netflix. But we’d still like to further encourage that behaviour because we’re not ready to start watching less, ha.
Here’s two goodies from Megan and I you might be interested in screening, purely because we’ve been binging and think we know a thing or two.
Megan’s Recommendations:
The Blues Brothers. For kind of the same reason as Hannah’s recommended Bo Burham, this is a light hearted, slapstick and hilarious classic with great music the whole way through. Also - John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, need I say more. My husband’s mum used to have this on repeat during his childhood so he’s been enjoying singing along to all the songs he thought he’d forgotten the words to.
The Gentlemen. This is now out on certain streaming services (I will leave those to your imagination) and is an awesome new one from Guy Ritchie along the same lines as “Snatch”. Think English gangster with heaps of humour, and then Matthew McConaughey thrown in for good measure. Definitely recommend!
Hannah’s Recommendations:
Breakfast at Tiffany’s. This one’s for all my ladies or anyone looking for a romantic black and white film about a woman navigating her identity amidst city life. Cannot recommend this movie enough as I’m literally obsessed with it.
Bo Burham, Make Happy. This one’s for those that love stand up comedy and music. It’s an insane fusion of the two and will make you giggle your night away, especially after a few wines. So hop on Netflix to turn that frown upside-down. You can thank me later.
