Interior Design Post Lock Down
First of all, yay to post lock down! How wild is it that most countries are experiencing some type of lock down still and, even crazier, that some cities have been in lock down for over 5 months! We’re insanely thankful to be mobile again and thought it would be helpful for you to know the following.
Designing your interiors might take a little bit longer than usual as we’re limited to the stock currently available in the country, something to keep in mind should you find yourself in a rush. We’re experiencing lead times of 4-6 weeks for ‘specialty items’, which means they’re in another country.
The great news is that we’re able to sell on our ex-staging stock and mix it in with new stock in the country - meaning we have been able to furnish a 4 bedroom, 2 living space home recently with a very short lead time! Let us know if you think this might be a good option for you.
The great thing about hiring an interior designer right now is that there’s a lot of phone calling required to secure products, and gather information regarding lead times, and your designer can get that all sussed for you! You also might have to change a couple of products for a similar look elsewhere and with a trusted designer this should be no sweat. But the workload looks a little bit different post lock down, so it’s a wise idea to have an expert on hand to ensure you reach your objectives on time.
